U-THEATRE
U-Theatre
U-Theatre is Asia's premier performing arts group, internationally renowned for visually striking performances that blend drumming, martial arts, acrobatics, and sacred movement.
U-Theatre's unique aesthetic combines Eastern and Western elements—martial arts, drumming, meditation, Tai Chi, and sacred movement with music, drama, and literature. This fusion creates their signature "U-Theatre Aesthetics," rooted in musicality, bodily awareness, and "Dao" practice methods, transcending boundaries between ancient and modern performance traditions.

Workshop
U-Theatre is more than a performance group – it is a way of life inspired by Taoist philosophy. The core practice is about achieving a deep sense of calm while in motion. A performance is not the goal, but a path toward awareness, balance, and inner growth. Training is both intense and diverse, blending meditation, drumming, martial arts, Tai Chi, dance, and acting – influenced by both Eastern and Western traditions, ancient and modern. The focus is on the relationship between the individual and the group, expressed without narrative or characters. This results in a unique, process-based form of contemporary theatre, driven by personal transformation and collective harmony.
